Artist Profile
Tomek Terlecki has worked as a painter and graphic artist since his graduation from the Warsaw Fine Arts Academy in 1985. He has also worked as an illustrator for a number of prominent Polish publishing houses. During his course at the Art School he specialised in fresco painting.
He has illustrated a dozen of natural world atlases and has also made a number of drawings in the form of posters designed as teaching aids for schools and universities. Most of them are illustrations of plants and animals.
His drawings range from naturalistic illustrations, aimed for atlases, through to illustrations for children's literature to more elaborate nature drawings for the youth magazine "Pentliczek". He has worked with this highly popular and very well received magazine for several years. During that period his drawings appeared in the majority of issues.
He has also provided illustrations for 20 textbooks for WSiP - the largest Polish publishing house for education. In contrast he has also produced a number of satirical drawings and cartoons, published in the 'Polityka' current affairs magazine.
Throughout the years he has also continued painting. Some of his paintings were displayed in a number of Warsaw Art Galleries.
Nature and animals have always been a mainstream in Tomeks paintings. Over the years he has gained the highest skill and experience in this field. We are very proud to be able to present his art in The Round Oak Gallery.
